Press Release: Buji Tallapragada Joins Standard Real Estate as Principal

February 4, 2026 – Washington, D.C. – Standard Real Estate (Standard), a diversified middle market investment manager with offices in Los Angeles, CA and Washington D.C., today announced Buji Tallapragada has joined the firm as a Principal. Mr. Tallapragada will be based in Washington D.C. and lead the firm’s asset management divisions and support in new investment activity. He will work closely with Standard’s President, Jerome Nichols, also based in the Washington D.C office.

Prior to joining Standard, he led the asset management team and was a member of the Asset Management and ESG committees at Penzance, a fully integrated owner, operator, and developer based in Washington, D.C. with over $1 billion of discretionary capital across multiple comingled, closed-end fund vehicles. Before his tenure with Penzance, he spent time with Dweck Properties, The JBG Companies (now JBG Smith), and CBRE Investors, in roles spanning acquisitions, operations, and asset management.

Mr. Tallapragada received an MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science from New York University. He currently lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and two children.
